Gozo is also named the island of Calypso, coming from the story of Homer’s Odyssey. It is said that Oddysseus was kept in Gozo for seven years by the nymph Calypso as a love prisoner.

The island has fewer inhabitants than Malta, with a more sustainable development than in Malta. Greener, friendlier, you will be captivated by our little island!

A lot of travellers only come for a quick stay in Gozo, but the island deserves a longer holiday, so that allows you can enjoy its charms and secrets better.

Here the sea is never too far, so you can easily discover Gozo’s amazing coastline: little coves, red sandy beaches, huge cliffs…

Xagħra is a village of 3700 inhabitants. It is situated north east of Victoria, the capital city, and of Ramla Bay.

You can easily walk to the heart of the village from Daydream Bed and Breakfast. In Xaghra you will follow the pace of the island by experiencing the village atmosphere, discovering its little peaceful streets and having a drink at the square.

Xaghra is famous for its prehistoric sites, Calypso Cave, Ggantiga temples (Unesco site) and Santa Vera temple.

Its Church is one of the most beautiful in Gozo. You can also discover two caves: Ta’Xerri and Ta’Ninu, which are under private houses but open to the public.

You will find all the necessary amenities in the center of the village around the square: atm, pharmacy, little supermarket, petrol station.
